Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Bindawa, Katsina State. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers 2+ years on the tools preferred.
