Banksman wanted in Douglas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Douglas County, Oregon. You will work at a shipyard. Day to day you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
