Now hiring: we are hiring an estate gardener in Dange-Shuni, Sokoto State. Day to day you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds. You should have: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
