Ironing operator • DuPage County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in DuPage County, Illinois. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $24 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
