Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundsman in Barry County, Michigan. The job is at a plant nursery. Ideal candidate: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors The role involves cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers.
