Furniture maker — Obi

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furniture maker in Obi, Nasarawa State. The role involves: • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
