Great opportunity: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Waseca County, Minnesota. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. Requirements: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control On the job you will handle: • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers Full-time, day shift.
