Immediate opening: we are hiring a retail butcher in Umatilla County, Oregon. You will work at a halal meat counter. Day-to-day duties: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Rotating shifts.
