Urgent requirement: we are hiring a presser in Yorro, Taraba State. The job is at a garment factory. The role involves: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory 2+ years on the tools preferred.
