Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Casey County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Day to day you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone.
