Day-to-day duties: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour Requirements: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
