Your main tasks: • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers You should bring trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage; good eye for panel gaps and body lines.
