Now hiring: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Nuapada, State of Odisha. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges On a typical shift you will set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
