Ideally you have familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems; physically fit for climbing on and off the machine. Day to day you will cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction.
