Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Mahe, Union Territory of Puducherry. The job is in a busy laundry. Day to day you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
