Now hiring: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Dibrugarh, Assam. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line We are looking for understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens; ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus; able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown. 6+ years on the tools preferred. ₹90 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
