Core maker — Sepahijala

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Sepahijala, Tripura. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. You should bring basic grinding and fettling skills; keen eye for casting defects during inspection; comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
