The role involves prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Rotating shifts.
