Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts The role involves: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift 6+ years on the tools preferred.
