Furnace operator wanted in Kallakurichi district

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Kallakurichi district, State of Tamil Nadu. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day to day you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle.
