Fettler wanted in Ramanagara

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Ramanagara, State of Karnataka. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills ₹24,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
