Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Bharuch, State of Gujarat. Day to day you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. We are looking for proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks; sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish); comfortable working at height on scaffolding. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
