Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through You should bring can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols; able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard; comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces.
