You should have: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Day-to-day duties: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
