The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
