Steel fixer wanted in Kolkata

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kolkata, West Bengal. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Ideally you have willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates; valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves); proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites. The role involves lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Contact us to fix an interview.
