Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Shimoga, State of Karnataka. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit We offer ₹210 per hour plus benefits.
