Immediate opening: restaurant steward (State of Gujarat)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a restaurant steward in Gandhinagar, State of Gujarat. The job is in a café. On a typical shift you will clear and reset tables between covers; explain the day's specials and recommend dishes; punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket); carry loaded trays and serve plated dishes to the right table; greet guests, seat them and present the menu; pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left. What we are looking for: • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Ability to work fast under pressure during peak service • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner Six days a week, one day off.
