Ideal candidate: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Day to day you will stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator.
