The role involves measure rope tension and check for broken strands; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. You should bring ability to read electrical and wiring schematics; willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota; valid driving licence for site call-outs.
