You will read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant. You should have: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
