Groundsman • West Garo Hills, Meghalaya

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundsman in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya. You will be based in a botanical garden. On a typical shift you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. We are looking for physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors; an eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish; previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. ₹15,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
