We are looking for sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection; 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding. The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise.
