Your main tasks: • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels Requirements: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Overtime paid at a premium rate.
