TIG welder — Ri-Bhoi

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Day-to-day duties: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size 1+ years on the tools preferred.
