Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Sri Sathya Sai, State of Andhra Pradesh. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You should bring physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings; willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts; comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal. The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects.
