Immediate opening: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Ukhrul, Manipur. You will be based in a refurbishment property. Requirements: • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish Day to day you will tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency; apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat; float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
