Urgent requirement: we are hiring a general labourer in Lunglei, Mizoram. You will be based with a civil contractor. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker The role involves: • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator Six days a week, one day off.
