Hoist operator wanted in Dharwad

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Dharwad, State of Karnataka. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. On a typical shift you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. You should bring physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts; good depth perception and hand-eye coordination; understanding of hand and radio signals. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
