Now hiring: gantry crane operator (Assam)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Udalguri, Assam. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. On a typical shift you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift. You should have: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
