On a typical shift you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 5+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
