Your main tasks: • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals Ideally you have good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes; safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant.
