Garment machinist • Majuli, Assam

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Majuli, Assam. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Six days a week, one day off.
