Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day to day you will strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding.
