Fire and safety officer — West Jaintia Hills

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry We are looking for comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces; minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites.
