Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in West Kameng, State of Arunachal Pradesh. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. We are looking for aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety; able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard; can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols. The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. ₹13,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
