We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. The job is in a garment export house. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Full-time with occasional weekends.
