Garment machinist • Thiruvarur, State of Tamil Nadu

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Thiruvarur, State of Tamil Nadu. You will be based at a busy garment factory. Day to day you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Part-time with flexible hours.
