Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent.
