Machinist • Lawngtlai, Mizoram

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Lawngtlai, Mizoram. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. The role involves sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 6+ years on the tools preferred.
